Certification / Recertification Board Review Home Study Course for Physician Assistants from Emory University

This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 31 hours of AAPA Category I (Preapproved) CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Each lecture consists of a split screen format with a window displaying the lecturers' PowerPoint slides and the other window displaying video of the lecturer. This program requires a Windows XP or Vista PC ( No Apple/Mac) with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or greater and the latest version of Windows Media Player. There are practice tests and PDF files of the handouts/slides to print. Users can review at their own pace on their own PCs and can jump to any slide in the lecture and see the video for that section. As a bonus, the DVD set this year includes all the audio files of the lectures in MP3 format for downloading to a portable music device (iPOD or other) 

The Review consists of lectures to refresh the learner's knowledge on a wide range of core medical problems and content including reviews of Dermatology, Pediatrics, Fluid and Electrolytes, GI Disorders, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Cardiology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, ENT, GU, Antibiotics, Pulmonary Disorders, Infectious Disease, Hematology, EKG interpretation, Chest X-ray interpretation, OB-GYN, and other topics.

Annual Primary Care New Orleans French Quarter Conference

The Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants (LAPA) Annual Primary Care New Orleans French Quarter Conference is scheduled for April 25-27, 2008 at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans, Louisiana.

23 Category I Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits will be offered at an unbelievable rate of less that $10 per hour. New Orleans is world renowned for its food, music and entertainment.
